President Trump began Sunday – two days before the presidential election – making a last-minute plea to Michigan voters and once again claiming that Joe Biden referred to young black men as “super predators.”
“Our numbers are looking VERY good all over. Sleepy Joe is already beginning to pull out of certain states. The Radical Left is going down!,” the president wrote in a series of tweets beginning at around 6:30 a.m.
“People have long been voting but Joe Biden has still not released his Supreme Court List of Radical Left Judges that he would like to put on the Court. Also, is he going to Court Pack?,” Trump said in another posting. “He thinks he can bluff his way through these two important questions. Can only vote against!!!”
He continued: “Joe Biden called Black Youth SUPER PREDATORS. They will NEVER like him, or vote for him. They are voting for ‘TRUMP’.”
It was Hillary Clinton, not Biden, who called young black men “super predators.”
But Biden talked of “predators on our streets” during the legislative battle over the 1994 crime bill.
In the wake of Trump’s selection of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, the president has pressured the former vice president to release a list of his nominees.
Biden has said he is “not a fan” of expanding the court and has not released a list of names.
Democrats opposed to Barrett’s nomination said she shouldn’t have been confirmed so close to the election and that the next president should have been able to make the choice.
Barrett was confirmed by the Senate last Monday.
Trump also said his 2016 win saved Michigan workers and promised “big jobs plans” if he is reelected.
“When I originally became your all time favorite President, the Great State of Michigan was hemorrhaging car companies and jobs. Plants were closing and moving to Mexico, and other places. No new plants for decades,” the president wrote in a posting. “I stopped the moves, & now many plants are and have been built.”
“The place was a mess and would have lost much more business if I hadn’t come along. Many new plants are starting. Foreign countries and companies now treat the USA, and Michigan, with respect. Big jobs plans. Please remember this when you go to cast your very important vote!,” Trump continued.
The president plans to campaign Sunday in Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Iowa and Georgia.
Biden will hold a rally in Philadelphia.
