Jacob deGrom’s long-shot quest to win a third-straight Cy Young Award is still alive.

The Mets ace was named a finalist for the award on Monday night along with the Reds’ Trevor Bauer and the Cubs’ Yu Darvish. Unlike the previous two seasons, deGrom enters as the underdog choice and not the favorite. If deGrom does win, he would become the third pitcher in major league history to do so along with Greg Maddux and Randy Johnson

The 32-year-old righty was again one of the league’s best pitchers, finishing the 60-game season 4-2 with a 2.38 ERA a 0.96 WHIP and 104 strikeouts as the Mets missed out on the postseason.

Bauer, who is a free agent and potential Mets target, is the favorite to win this time. He went 5-4 with a 1.73 ERA, a 0.79 WHIP and 100 strikeouts. Darvish posted an 8-3 mark, a 2.01 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and struck out 93.

The winner will be announced on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m.
